Ride for the Cure

The 2nd Annual Ride for the Cure was a huge success!  We raised $12,520 which was donated to the American Cancer Society.  This year's event had 94 riders and we served a total of 173 dinners, all of which were served by local cancer survivors.

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that made this possible.  This could not have been possible without the tremendous support we received.

Next Meeting Saturday March 14th

The Inn At Speculator 9am

Well for those of you who have been waiting for it… March is here!  Woo Hoo!

For those of you who have been dreading it… Sorry, but March is upon us

Do not fret, the trails are still fantastic and we encourage everyone to get out there and ride, ride, ride!

We are still grooming and will be until we just can’t do it anymore!

With the new month, comes our annual elections.  As you saw above we have a Saturday morning meeting.  We like to have this meeting on a Saturday with hopes that more of our members are in town and would like to take part in the voting of officers and board members.  This year all the officer positions are up, President, Vice president, Secretary and Treasurer.  Each a  one year term.  Also this year, three board member positions are available, each a 3 year term.

If you have any questions or would like to throw your name on the ballot, please contact Mickey O’Rourke at 548-3703 or Jodie Seelbach at 315-826-7311.

Sunday, March 15th we will be out on Oxbow Lake for the Ice Golf Tourney.  Begins at 1pm.  Everyone invited to play!

Join us for an afternoon of fun and laughter.  Costumes appreciated, Teams of 4, $20 per team.  Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd  and Last place teams and for the Best costumed team.  The club will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken after the game.  This year's tourney may be a bit tricky, so bringing your snowshoes may be helpful.

February 8th was the Club’s tree burning party at the Oxbow Inn and also the day someone got “lucky”….. Not that kind of lucky (tisk, tisk), but a brand new Ski-doo MXZ kinda lucky!  That honor goes to Jaclyn Snook Dieciedue of Hackettstown, NJ. She became the owner of the raffle sled.  Her family has a home in Piseco, are avid riders and supporters of the Pleasant Riders!

This years raffle was a great success, we appreciate everyone who bought and sold tickets.  Big thanks to Charlie Johns Store for allowing the sled to reside there for the winter!

We would also like to say "thank you" to all who have thrown a dollar or two into the  grooming jug at the Oxbow Inn.  Every little bit helps and it certainly adds up quickly!  Thanks again!

The snow has not yet melted, but we are looking for Fourth of July parade float volunteers.  If you will be in town for the holiday and would like o get in touch with your creative side, be sure to raise your hand at the meeting for the committee or please call Betsy at 548-5719 to volunteer.

We do not yet have a date, but are looking for some muscle to help brush out the Oxbow Trail, the trail between Oxbow and Sacandaga Lakes.  Please keep this in mind and as soon as a date is chosen we will get the word out.  Many hands make for easy work!
