So, This is it!…. The last newsletter of the year!
We have some snow on the ground, some ice forming on the lakes. If this keeps up we may have an early and great season! Keep your fingers crossed.
Just some reminders…
Pleasant Riders Club Christmas Party is December 14th at The Inn
Please join us with the kids for caroling, and submitting your final list to Santa!
Begins at 3pm and ends at 5pm with a pizza party!
6pm will be the start of the Auction. All prizes donated by local businesses and individuals.
Don’t forget your cash, proceeds of the auction helps pay for the fireworks at the February bonfire!
Please bring your unwrapped toy for local tots to the party. If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate a toy, there are boxes at Oak Mountain, Casey’s Corner, Charlie Johns Store and the Speculator Health Clinic.
The donated toys will be available to parents December 18th at the Lake Pleasant VFW 1pm-7pm.

We would like to send out a huge THANK YOU to Jon Lane of Speculator Self Storage and The Dorr boys of Lake Pleasant Marine. Each business stored a groomer for us over the warmer months! Good to know that our machinery does not have to contend with the weather all year long!

The Raffle sled is here… it is displayed at Mountain Market. Check it out, see what you have been busting your hump selling tickets for!!!
The Spy Lake Trail has been cleaned up. All blow downs have been cleared and we are now ready to go in and get the new bridges built. The permit has come in and on December 7th there will be group ready to head in. Meeting in the Oxbow Inn parking lot at 7am. If you are available it would be greatly appreciated if you joined. The more the merrier. There is plenty to do and would like to get it all done in one day! Any questions please call Dave Redmond 518-548-6671
Now that everyone is in a snowmobile state of mind please remember to submit your gas receipts. After purchasing gas for sleds at any local gas station be sure to have your receipt printed and added to the forms available at the counter.
There will be a polar plunge January 1st 2014 at the public beach in Speculator. The club will provide the hot cocoa and cookies. Don’t worry… our first priority will be to keep the fire ragin’!!!!
PLEASE!!!!!!!!! We need volunteers for the Riding for the Cure snowmobile ride! We need volunteers of every kind! Traffic directors, ride leaders, food servers, ticket sellers etc. etc. etc…..

Mark your calendars
Christmas tree bonfire and fireworks will be held February 9th at the Oxbow Inn.
The festivities begin at 2pm with hot dogs, burgers and sausage. Fire will be lit at 3pm and fireworks to begin at 6pm with the snowmobile raffle winner to be announced immediately after.
Children welcome and encouraged to bring their sleds and plenty of warm clothing!
The first meeting of 2014 will be held January 8th at the Oxbow Inn @ 7pm
