Pleasant Riders Snowmobile Club
Well, This is it! The last newsletter of the season. While we still have plenty of snow on the ground and plenty of ice on the lakes as of today, It is time to end this snowmobile season.
The guys are still out grooming as of March 27th. We are expecting rain this weekend, so we will just play it by ear! Keep checking your preferred source of trail/weather updates!
At the March meeting, an election was held to fill board positions
The current board consists of
Jon Lane~ President
Dave Redmond~ Vice President
Kathy Aird~ Treasurer
Mary Potter~ Secretary
The NYSSA Forum is being held in Rochester April25-27. Anyone interested in attending and volunteering their time for the club, please contact Dave Redmond
The Ice Golf Tourney was a great success! 50 people played and over 500 dollars was raised and presented to Eric Kristiansen!
It was a beautiful sunny day, except for the occasional wind gust mid swing and a face full of snow, fun was had by all!
Hope next years turnout is just as good, if not better!
Speaking of Golf…. The Pleasant Riders Golf Tournament will be held June 7th. For more details and to register your team please call the Lake Pleasant Golf Course(when the snow melts, of course!)
Due to scheduling issues the April meeting had to be moved up to April 2nd at Zeizer’s. Meeting begins at 7pm
If you were fortunate enough to get a ride or many rides in on the trails in our area, it goes without saying that a HUGE Thank You needs to be given. With the combined efforts of Pleasant Riders, Town of Arietta, Town of Lake Pleasant and D.R.A.G. one hell of a job was done this season!
The Club would like to thank Tony Pacyna for his generous donation to the trail fund.
We would also like to thank all who threw money into the fund buckets that are scattered through town. Every bit helps, and it is appreciated!
Our Club members volunteered to not only drag trails, but coordinate the Ride for the Cure cancer ride, collect receipts for the gas road tax rebate, sort and submit them! Stay hot on the backs of the DEC for permission to fix up the Spy Lake Trail. A group of Gents who fixed the bridges on that trail. Those who stand around the grill and cook up hot dogs and burgers at the Tree burning party, drag the trees to the fire, yell for 50/50, sell t-shirts, sell raffle tickets for the Ski-doo. Dressed up as an elf, or put on any costume during the holidays, helped hustle auction items, picked up donations and prizes… The list goes on and on and there are not enough ways to say thank you! If you helped in anyway with the success of this club, please pat yourself on the back( it is so greatly appreciated) and get ready for next season!
You will hear from us again in August with all the information to get your sleds ready and registered!
Thank You for a great season!
