Ride for the Cure

The 2nd Annual Ride for the Cure was a huge success!  We raised $12,520 which was donated to the American Cancer Society.  This year's event had 94 riders and we served a total of 173 dinners, all of which were served by local cancer survivors.

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that made this possible.  This could not have been possible without the tremendous support we received.

This year was a big year for the Pleasant Riders Snowmobile Club.  We have rounded out our grooming fleet with two tuckers, one for the Oxbow Trail and one calls the Spy lake Trail, home.  We still have our scandics, you just never know when you have to go back to the old ways!

We have always worked tirelessly and relentlessly on fundraising for our club and it has paid off in many ways.  With the machinery taken care of, we as a board, began contemplating a “home base” for the club.  We have our belongings scattered around town, in members homes, in the trailer, our machines are stored in another town.  We thought it would be nice to have one storage facility.  After many months and a lot of homework, the board voted to purchase a home with a large garage.  It is located on Route 8 in Piseco.  The current garage can house all of our grooming equipment and there is room to expand if we ever need to.  The house is in proper order, no need for any work to be done.  The house can be used for non- machine storage and also for conducting board meetings.  We have permission to access the Spy Lake Trail from a surrounding property owner.
We are not opening a “clubhouse”.  At this point it is strictly a storage facility for the club.  The potential is endless, it all depends on where we see the club headed in the future.
The board feels it has asked all the questions and ironed out any issues we did find.  With that, we do welcome our members feedback and their questions.  Perhaps we overlooked something and you may be able to shed some light on a particular topic.  We want to hear from you!
It is a big step for the Pleasant Riders, one that many of us find to be a necessary one.  We hope you as members will continue to support the club and lead us down a path to making the club bigger and better than ever.  We strive to keep snowmobiling at it’s best in our area.
